이런 집안일들을 할 때는 지루한 시간을 무념무상으로 있기보다 보통 드라마를 보면서 함께 한다.

드라마 중에서 집안일과 함께하기 힘든 것은 보통 스릴러나 추리물, 법정드라마, 의학드라마 등 잠깐이라도 흐름을 읽지 못하면 연결해서 보기 힘든 드라마들이다.

가장 집안일과 함께 하기 좋은 드라마는 퓨전사극이나 가벼운 로맨스인 거 같다.

그중 정말 딱인 드라마가 철인왕후였다. 드라마 자체는 고품격은 아니다. 솔직히 대박 드라마라 하기에도 좀 뭔가 부족함이 있다. 그러나 가볍고 즐겁게 보기 딱 좋다.

신혜선의 연기가 7할은 차지하는 드라마인 거 같다. 나머지 3할은 철종의 빈으로 간택되는 조화진역 설인아의 미모, 각 역할에 딱 들어맞는 조연들의 연기 그리고 철종으로 분한 김정현의 기대이상 연기라고 할 수 있다.

특히 김정현은 나약한 철종의 외모와 딱 맞아떨어졌고 으라차차 와이키키에서 쌓은 코믹연기를 이 드라마 중간중간에 잘 소화해서 보여주었다. 게다가 나약하면서도 포기하지 않는 고뇌하는 철종의 정극연기도 잘 소화한 거 같다.

신혜선과 김정현을 제외하고 캐스팅이 안정적이었지만 창의적이진 않았던 거 같다. 각자 그 연기에 특화된 연기자들이 비슷한 성격의 역을 반복하는 거 같아 아쉬웠다.

타임슬립 드라마의 전형적인 클리셰를 많이 차용했지만 그래도 나름 재미있었다. 특히 식가마는 참신했다.

사극은 역사를 다루기 때문에 작은 실수에도 욕을 먹는 경우가 종종 있는데, 이 드라마도 그 논란을 피해가진 못했다. 조선왕조실록에 대해 '한낱 지라시'라고 폄하했던 대사가 잠시 논란이 되었다가 해당 내레이션을 삭제하기도 했다. 또한 원작이 중국소설이며 이 원작자가 혐한 발언을 해서 문제가 되기도 했었다.

그러나 이런 부정적인 시각에도 불구하고 김정현이 연기한 철종에 대한 재고와 조선후기 역사를 살펴볼 수 있는 좋은 기회라는 생각이 들었다.

무능한 왕으로만 기억된 강화도령 철종은 당시 시대상으로 인해 만들어진 이미지였을 수도 있겠다는 생각이 들었다. 역사를 살펴보면 농민봉기 후 삼정의 문란을 해결하기 위해 안핵사로 파견된 박규수의 건의를 받아들여 삼정이정청을 설치한 것. 그러나 외척에 밀려 나약하게 삼정이정청은 당해 8월 폐지하고 삼정의 업무를 비변사에서 다시 관장하게 놔둔 거. 기울어져 가는 나라의 모습이 담긴 조선후기 상황을 다시 찾아볼 수 있었다.

조선왕조실록에 기록된 마지막 왕이 철종이라는 사실도 알게 되었다.

Shin Hye-sun's acting seems to account for 70% of the drama.The remaining 30% can be said to be the beauty of Seol In-ah, a role of Jo Hwa-jin, who is chosen as Cheol-jong's bin, the performance of supporting actors that fits each role, and Kim Jung-hyun, who plays Cheol-jong, more than expected.

In particular, Kim Jung-hyun matched the weak Cheol-jong's appearance and showed his comic acting accumulated in Waikiki in the middle of the drama. In addition, it seems that Cheoljong, who is weak but does not give up, performed well in the drama.

Except for Shin Hye-sun and Kim Jung-hyun, the casting was stable, but it seems that they were not creative. It was regrettable that each actor specialized in acting seemed to repeat the role of a similar character.

I borrowed a lot of cliche, which is typical of time slip dramas, but it was fun in its own way. In particular, the kiln was novel.

However, despite this negative view, I thought it was a good opportunity to reconsider Cheoljong played by Kim Jung-hyun and examine the history of the late Joseon Dynasty.

I thought that Cheoljong, the King of Ganghwa, who was remembered only as an incompetent king, might have been an image created by the times at that time. If you look at the history, the Samjeong Pavilion was established after accepting the suggestion of Park Kyu-soo, who was dispatched to Anheoksa Temple to resolve the disturbance of Samjeong after the peasant uprising.
