아무것도 하고 싶지 않아, 일상에 지칠 때 쉼표 같은 드라마(K-drama Summer Strike)

최근 설현과 남궁민이 출연한 <낮과 밤>을 즐겁게 보았고, 게다가  며칠 전 임시완과 천우희가 출연한 <스마트폰을 떨어뜨렸을 뿐인데>라는 영화를 괜찮게 봐서인지 임시완과 설현의 조합이 궁금해서 드라마를 보게 되었다.

시작은 출연배우의 연기가 궁금해서였지만 막상 드라마를 보고 나니 내용이 너무 좋아 주변에 막 추천하고 싶어졌다.

조미료를 넣지 않았지만 오랜동안 맛을 내서 심심하니 맛난 집밥 같은 드라마다.

설현의 연기에 정말 놀랐다. 솔직히 설현에 대한 나의 선입견,  그녀의 미모는 값 싸 보였고 쓸데없이 섹시한 그녀의 몸매는 연기에 불필요해 보였다. 그녀의 편견이 조금 깨졌던 것이 영화 <안시성 전투>에서의 조인성 여동생, 강인한 여장부역을 무리 없이 소화했을 때였다. 이때만 해도 거슬리진 않았어 느낌, 아이돌 출신 연기자가 극의 흐름을 방해하는 수준은 아니었다는 정도의 평이었다. 그러나 <아무것도 하고 싶지 않아>에서 설현의 연기는 정말 이여름 자체였다. 회사 상사들에게 휘둘리는 어리바리, 남자 친구마저 지치게하는 자존감 바닥인 여자역도 실제 답답함이 느껴질 정도로 잘 해냈고 엄마가 돌아가신 후 회사를 나오면서 제발 남에게 피해 주지 말라고 쏟아내는 연기도 인상적이었다. 설현의 미모가 더 이상 극에 몰입하는데 방해가 되지 않았다. 그래서 좋았다.

김봄의 아버지의 연기에서 소름 돋았다. 아이들을 위해 살겠다고 술을 끊고 일하다가 회식자리에서 다시 술을 마실 수밖에 없는 상황에서 술이 들어갈 때의 표정. 그 연기는 잊을 수가 없다.

임시완은 임시완했다. <스마트폰을 떨어뜨렸을 뿐인데>에서 진저리 치게 싫어졌던 준영이와는 정반대의 역, 상처를 가지고 있지만 아이들에게 따뜻하고 사랑하는 여인을 묵묵히 도와주는 천재지만 세상 착한 남자 대범이. 준영이도 대범이도 양 극단에 있는 인물이지만 완벽히 소화해 냈다.

2022년 11월 ~ 12월까지 ENA 월화드라마로 방영되었다고 한다. 원작은 동명의 주영현 웹툰이라고 한다. 여러 장르가 혼합한 듯하다. 로코, 스릴러 등.
구성에서는 드라마 <동백꽃 필 무렵>이 떠올랐고, 전체적인 느낌은 영화 <리틀 포레스트>가 떠올랐다. 짜임새 있는 구성으로 지루하지 않았고 여러 장르가 혼합되었지만 불편하지 않았다.

주인공 여름의 회사는 쓰레기 집합소였고 서울을 떠나 온 동네는 사연 있는 이들의 집합소였다. 이 동네에서 그녀는 낯선 이방인으로 미움과 경계를 받기도 하지만 그녀를 감싸주는 이들로 인해  서울 생활에서 상처 받은 마음, 자존감을 치료받고 있었다. 그녀의 노력으로 동네의 얽힌 실타래는 풀리고 그녀 역시 점점 이 동네의 사랑받는 구성원으로 물들어간다. 행복하다는 그녀의 대사처럼 이 드라마는 각박하게 일상을 견뎌내는 도시인들에게 대리 행복을 안겨다 준다.

K-drama, Summer Strike, A drama that's like a comma when you're tired of your daily life 

Recently, I enjoyed watching <Day and Night> starring Seol-hyun and Nam Gung-min, and I watched the drama because I was curious about the combination of Im Si-wan and Seol-hyun because I liked the movie <Unlocked>(I Just Drop My Smartphone) starring Im Si-wan and Chun Woo-hee a few days ago.

The beginning was because I was curious about the actor's acting, but after watching the drama, the content was so good that I wanted to recommend it to people around me.

It is a drama that tastes like home-cooked meals because it has been flavored for a long time without seasoning.

I was really surprised by Seolhyun's acting. To be honest, my preconceptions about Seolhyun, her beauty, and her unnecessary sexy body seemed unnecessary for acting. Her prejudice was slightly broken when she played the role of Cho In-sung's younger sister and a strong female dresser in the movie Battle of Ansi City difficulty. It was not intrusive at this time, but it was a comment that an idol-turned-actor did not interfere with the flow of the play. However, Seol-hyun's acting in <Summer Strike> was really Lee Yeo-reum itself. The role of a woman, who is swayed by her boss and even her boyfriend's self-esteem, was so good that she felt frustrated, and her performance as she left the company after her mother passed away was impressive. Seol-hyun's beauty no longer interfered with her immersion in the play. So it was good.

Kim Bom's father's performance gave me goosebumps. The expression when alcohol goes in at a time when he has no choice but to drink again at a company dinner after quitting drinking and working to live for his children. The performance is unforgettable.

Im Si-wan made a temporary completion. The opposite role of Jun-young, who was disgusted with <Unlocked> is a genius but good man who silently helps a woman who is warm to children and loves her. Both Jun-young and Dae-beom are characters in both extremes, but they did it perfectly.

It was aired as an ENA Monday-Tuesday drama from November to December 2022. The original story is said to be Joo Young-hyun's webtoon with the same name. It seems to be a mixture of different genres. Loco, thriller, etc.
In the composition, the drama <When the Camellia Blooms> came to mind, and the overall feeling came to mind the movie <Little Forest>. The organized composition was not boring and mixed with various genres, but it was not uncomfortable.

The main character Yeoreum's company was a garbage dump, and the neighborhood that left Seoul was a gathering place for people with stories. In this neighborhood, she is a stranger who is hated and wary, but she was being treated for her hurt feelings and self-esteem in Seoul life due to those who protect her. Through her efforts, the tangled threads of the neighborhood are unraveled, and she is gradually becoming a beloved member of the neighborhood. Like her line of happiness, the drama brings vicarious happiness to urban people who endure their daily lives.
