그것만이 내 세상, 기대 이상 영화(K-movie, Keys to the Heart)

이 영화를 볼 것인가 고민하기 전에 여러 채널을 통해 정보를 얻으면서 이 영화만큼 평론가와 관객의 평점 사이에 괴리감이 드는 영화가 있을까 싶을 정도로 차이가 컸다.

그 차이가 무엇일까 흥미로워서 이 영화가 꼭 보고 싶었다. 이 영화는 그 가혹한 전문가 혹평과는 반대로 손익분기점 210만을 넘어 340만 정도의 관객을 모은, 개봉 일주일째에 국내 박스오피스 1위까지 올랐던 영화이다.

일단 평점 8을 넘긴 영화는 꼭 봐야 한다는 강박관념이 있기 때문에 이 영화를 보기 시작했다.
이병헌, 박정민, 윤여정이 나온다니. 이런 조합을 한 영화에서 볼 수 있다는 것만으로도 행운이기 때문에 후회는 없을 거 같았다.

결론부터 말하자면 보길 잘했다. 
평론가들이 신파라고 말했지만 이 영화의 장르는 코미디였다. 코미디 영화라는 장르에 충실하게도 보는 동안 자주 웃었다. 신파라고 하기에는 이 영화를 보는 내내 눈물이 낫던 적이 없었다. 그냥 자주 웃었을 뿐이다. 

이 영화의 관객 평점은 배우들이 연기를 잘했기 때문에 그렇다고 말할 수도 있겠지만 이야기 자체가 잔잔하게 모난 곳 없이 흘렀다. 
과연 평론가가 바라보는 시선은 무엇일까? 상업영화에서 독보적인 개성을 바라는 것일까. 범인들이 쉽게 접근할 수 없는 숭고한 철학이나 정의 등이 담기길 바라는 것일까.

어찌 보면 나를 포함한 관객들은 그냥 생각 없이 훈훈한 주변 이웃들의 이야기를 해피엔딩으로 듣고 싶어 하는지 모르겠다.
왜 스스로 장애가 있는 사람은 일어설 수 없고 부자의 작위적 꽂음을 통해 무대에 설 수 있는지, 왜 장애를 희화화하는지 등을 비판하기보다 장애가 있는 이복동생을 어머니의 유언처럼 시설에 맡기지만 지속적으로 들여다볼 것인지가 관객들에게 더 궁금할지 모르겠다. 그냥 생각거리가 이야기 자체에 있을 정도로 이 영화는 관객에게 이야기 속으로 들어오게 하는 끌림이 있다. 

장애를 둔 가족이 있는 형제 자매가 공감할 만한 고민들도 잘 담겨있다. 장애로 인해 생리적 현상을 현명하게 대처하지 못하는 똥 싸는 장면, 그리고 그로 인해 엄마에게 잘못 없이 혼나는 형제. 부모가 장애가 있는 자식만을 챙기다 보니 또래보다 성숙해야 하고 외로움을 더 많이 느껴야 하며 다가올 책임감까지 가져야 하는 그 형제자매는 고달픈 인생일지 모른다. 밀려오는 불만조차 죄의식으로 느껴지는 상황에 답답할 것이다. 이 영화는 그런 부분들을 보여주면서 그 상황에 놓여있는 사람에게 위로를 줄 수 있는 영화이다. 

이병헌의 능글맞은 연기와 박정민의 놀랍도록 디테일한 노력에 의한 장면들에 큰 감동을 받는 영화이다. 특별출연이라고 하기에는 김성령과 한지민이 꽤 비중있는 역을 맡아서 두 사람에게는 좀 억울했던 영화였을 거 같다.

이병헌 친구로 나온 동수역의 백현진이라는 배우에 놀랐다. 비중있는 연기는 아니지만 내내 그의 연기에 감탄했다. 진짜 일상을 연기하는 듯한. 뭐지 이 배우는 이라는 속마음과 함께 궁금해져서 검색해 보았다. 홍대 미대를 중퇴하고 음악도 하고 화가이기도 하다는 이색 이력을 가졌다. 뭐지 천재인가.

암튼 이 영화 정말 괜찮았다. 권하고 싶다. 그냥 영화를 영화로 볼 수 있는 평범한 관객은 즐겁게 볼 수 있는 영화다. 다만 평론가처럼 이것저것 잣대를 가져다 대고 볼 수밖에 없는 직업군이라면 여기저기 허점이 많이 보일 것이다.

Before considering whether to watch this movie or not, there was such a big difference that I wondered if there was a movie that had a gap between critics and audiences' ratings as I got information through various channels.

I wanted to see this movie because I was interested in what the difference was. Contrary to the harsh professional criticism, the movie reached the top of the domestic box office in its first week of release, drawing 3.4 million viewers more than a break-even point of 2.1 million viewers.

I started watching this movie because I have an obsession that I have to watch movies that have a rating of 8 or higher.
Lee Byung-hun, Park Jung-min, and Yoon Yeo-jung. I thought I would have no regrets because I was lucky to see this combination in one movie.

In conclusion, I'm glad I saw it.
The genre of the film was comedy, although critics said it was a Sinpa. I laughed a lot while I was faithful to the genre of comedy movies. My tears have never healed throughout this movie to be called a Sinpa. I just laughed a lot.

The movie's audience rating could be said to be because the actors were good at acting, but the story itself flowed calmly.
What does the critic look at? Do they want unrivaled individuality in commercial films. Do they want to contain sublime philosophy or justice that public cannot easily access.

In a way, I don't know if the audience, including me, just want to hear the stories of warm neighbors with a happy ending.
Rather than criticizing why people with disabilities cannot stand up and why they can stand on stage through the contrivance of the rich and why they make fun of the disability, the audience will be more curious about whether he will leave his disabled half-brother to the facility like their mother's will. This movie is so attractive that it makes the audience come into the story that the thought is just in the story itself.

It also contains concerns that brothers and sisters with families with disabilities can sympathize with. A pooping scene in which a disability prevents him from wisely dealing with physiological phenomena, and a brother who is scolded by his mother without wrongdoing. As parents only care for their children with disabilities, the brothers and sisters, who have to be mature, feel more lonely than their peers, and have a sense of responsibility to come, may be a hard life. Even the surging complaints will be frustrating in a situation where they feel guilty. It is a movie that can comfort the person who is in the situation by showing such parts.

It is a movie that is greatly impressed by Lee Byung-hun's sly performance and Park Jung-min's amazingly detailed efforts. Kim Sung-ryeong and Han Ji-min played quite a significant role, but they were called a special appearance, so I think it would have been a little unfair for the two.

I was surprised by the actor Baek Hyun-jin, who played Dongsu as Lee Byung-hun's friend. It's not a heavy performance, but I've admired his performance all along the way. It's like he is acting out his daily life. I searched it because I was curious about whom this actor was. He dropped out of Hongdae Art School and had a unique history of doing music and being a painter. Who is he? A genius.

Anyway, this movie was really good. I want to recommend it. It is a movie that ordinary audiences who can just watch movies can enjoy watching. However, if you are a professional group that has no choice but to look at various standards like a critic, you will see many loopholes here and there in this movie.
