올빼미, 안타까운 역사 소현세자와 그 역을 소화한 김성철( K-movie, The Night Owl )

역사에서 if는 부질없는 것이겠지만, 소현세자가 죽지 않고 왕이 되었다면, 조선은 어떻게 변화했을까?
<그 해 우리는>에서 인상적이었던 김성철 배우가 소현세자를 연기해 주어서 기뻤다. 인조였던 유해진의 외모 유전자를 완전히 벗어나지 않는 범위에서 현명하고 능력 있으며 사려 깊은 멋진 소현세자를 연기하기에 딱인 배우였던 거 같다.

소현세자에 대한 많은 안타까움 중에 하나는 그가 정말 제대로 해보기도 전에 생을 마감했다는 것이다. 기회조차 얻지 못했다는 것. 무능한 사람들이 자신의 안위를 위해서 유능한 사람들을 어리석은 방법으로 제거하는 역사를 읽고 있자면 그때나 지금이나 과연 정의라는 것이 존재한가 싶기도 하다. 이 시대 회사에서 살아남은 사람이 착한 사람이다라고 공공연히 말해지는 상황 또한 얼마나 모순인가. 오히려 능력 있는 사람들이 혁신을 하다가 고인물의 막무가내에 답을 찾지 못하고 돌아서는 것일 수도 있는데 말이다.

스포주의라면서 여기저기 떠돌던 그 장면이 무얼까 생각했다. 소현세자가 독살되는 장면일까? 너무 잔인한 장면이면서 슬펐다.

조 씨 역을 맡은 안은진의 재발견이었다. 정말 얄미울 정도로 연기를 잘한다. 슬의생에서 보여준 쿨하면서도 미련 곰탱이 연기랑은 상반되게 욕심 많고 표독하면서 여우 같은 연기이다. 분명 안 어울릴 것 같은 얼굴인데 묘하게 잘 어울린다.

유해진의 연기를 많이 칭찬하던데, 사실 너무 강렬해서.. 개인적으로 이 사람이 연기를 하고 있는지 모를 정도로 그 역에 동화된 배우가 연기를 잘한다고 생각해서, 유아인 같은 배우의 과한 연기를 선호하진 않는다. 이 영화에서는 유해진이 유아인처럼 연기한 거 같다. 그 배역에 대해 생각할 여백이 없을 정도로 완벽해서 오히려 몰입을 방해했던 거 같다.

류준열의 연기는 항상 물 흐르듯 생활연기를 한다는 것이다. 그래서 좋다. 거슬리는 것도 없고 극의 흐름을 방해하지도 않아서 항상 극에 집중하게 한다. 봉사연기라는 자체가 눈에 띄는 연기인데 전혀 그렇지 않다. 마치 진짜 봉사인 것처럼 연기한다. 유튜브에서 멧데이먼과 인터뷰하는 영상이 있던데 거기에서는 약간 긴장하는 듯한 느낌이 있었던 걸 보면 원래 태생부터 긴장을 하지 않는 스타일은 아닌 거 같다. 다만 연기를 할 때는 긴장을 내려놓고 일상을 살듯이 연기하니까 연기라는 생각이 들지 않아서 좋다.
류준열과 BTS 지민, 배우 남지현, 김구라의 MBTI는 나와 같은 ESTJ이다. 그래서 그들을 좀더 관찰하고 눈여겨보는 편이다. 가치관이나 드러나는 성격에서 나와 유사점이 있나 살펴보기 위해서다. 

콤플렉스에 빠져있는 왕.
미래를 볼 줄 모르는 왕.
그런 못난 왕을 아비로 둔 능력 있는 세자.
그리고 불의 앞에 눈감고 살아야만하는 민초.

이 영화를 통해, 과거지만 여전히 진행중인 세상의 이치를 보았다.

진짜 재미있는 영화는 시간 가는 줄 모르고 흐르는 것인데 이 영화도 그랬던 거 같다. 

In history, if would be useless, but if Crown Prince Sohyun had not died and became king, how would Joseon have changed? I was glad that actor Kim Sung-chul, who was impressive in <Our Beloved Summer>, played Crown Prince So-hyun. It seems that he was the perfect actor to play Prince Sohyun, who was wise, capable, and thoughtful, to the extent that he did not completely deviate from the appearance genes of Yoo Hae-jin, who was an artificial person.

One of the many regrets about Crown Prince Sohyun is that he ended his life before he could really do it properly. That he didn't even get a chance. Reading the history of incompetent people removing competent people in foolish ways for their own safety, I wonder if justice exists then and now. It is also a contradiction in the situation in which it is openly said that the person who survives the company in this era is a good person. Rather, capable people may turn around without finding an answer while innovating.

I wondered what the scene was that was wandering around, saying that it was a spoiler. Is it a scene where Crown Prince Sohyun is poisoned? It was such a cruel scene and sad.

It was a rediscovery of Ahn Eun-jin, who played Cho. She's so good at acting. Contrary to the cool yet lingering performance shown in <Hospital Playlist>, it is a greedy, vicious, fox-like performance. She looks like Cho wouldn't look good on her, but she looks strangely good on her.

Many people complimented Yoo Hae Jin's acting, but it was so intense. Personally, I don't prefer excessive acting by actors like Yoo Ah-in because I think the actor who is assimilated into the role is so good that I don't know if this person is acting. I think Yoo Hae-jin acted like Yoo Ah-in in this movie. It was so perfect that there was no room to think about the role that it rather disturbed my immersion.

Ryu Jun-yeol's acting is that he always acts like water flows. That's why I like it. There is nothing intrusive and it does not interfere with the flow of the play, so it always focuses on the play. Volunteer acting itself is a noticeable performance, but not at all. Acting as if it were a real service. There was a video of his interviewing Met Damon on YouTube, and I felt a little nervous there, so I don't think he is the type that doesn't get nervous from birth. However, when he acts, he dosen't think it's acting because he act as if he is living his daily life.
The MBTI of Ryu Jun-yeol, BTS Jimin, actor Nam Ji-hyun, and Kim Gu-ra is the same ESTJ as me. So I tend to observe them more and pay attention to them. This is to see if there are any similarities with me in terms of values or revealing personality.

a king in a complex.
a king who can't see the future.
A capable crown prince with such an ugly king as his father.
And the ruled person who has to live with his eyes closed in front of injustice.

Through this movie, I saw the logic of the past but still ongoing world.

The really interesting movie is passing by without knowing the time, and I think this movie was like that too.
